5th in the MATH

Thanks to the CP Forums, I've really gotten into playing the Blogger Tournaments (MATH, Mookie, etc.)

This is the First Cash and Final Table in a Blogger Tournament, from hammerplayer's MATH (Monday at the Hoy) tournament.

At the final table, I ran 10-10 into K-K, then a failed Hammer attempt (of course) met J-J and I was pot-committed. Last Hand, another Underpair found an Overpair, as 3-3 met 8-8.

My fellow CP'er Loretta8 made the final table along with me, and he played really good. However, he was bounced in Third when the massive chipleader, cmitch, attempted to hammer him from the SB. Loretta found the perfect cure to the hammer, pocket 7s.

The flop gave mitch a pair of 2's and a flush draw... and the turn was a third deuce. Obviously, this was one of the worst pre-flop all-in beats you can take, but knowing Loretta... he'll take it, uh... be on the lookout for flying laptops in the Boston area...

I'm tired and the tournament is still going on, you can find the results at http://hammerplayer.blogspot.com/.

This was the only thing remotely close to a MTT I played today, Plus I had a +$75 session playing 1/2 limit. So tonight was VERY productive. Also won @ Bowling, so that was cool too.

Until Tomorrow, Knuckleheads!

32K Guarantee, April 17, 2008

4th Place, $2600.

First off, The tournament didn't come anywhere near matching its Guarantee, so Full Tilt ponied up the Difference. So it's a +EV tournament from the start.

Second, Thanks for the Rail, my bros from CP. The ones I noticed were Lloyd (Delivered), DaNutzQ3 (Noob), JPK (On Life Tilt), Luske (lolflipaments) & Chimp (Rangers > Penguins ::runs::). If I forgot anyone else, sowwy.

I cannot recall that many key hands other than one major suckout, where I held J-J on a Q-Q-8 board, and Me and a guy got it in, he turned up 8-8... but 4outerments struck when a third queen rained down on the river. That got the table and rail going crazy, and gave me the chip lead. Entering the Final Table, I was third, but bullied the only noticeable fish (cmizzles3687) and took the chip lead... I later bullied him again and showed A-8 on a J-J-4 flop for bluffaments (though I think I had him beat, and showing him that I wouldn't be pushed around).

Chip Leader with 4 left, the pace slowed down considerably, but then Flipaments struck, I had my K-Q offsuit up against the Jacks of prof1t. No Paint came on the board, and I was down to 3rd place. Then, I went up against bryan1225 in a Battle of the Blinds. 8-8 was the hand I took to battle, and Raised from the SB. He shoved from the BB, and I insta-called. He had A-7 sooted (at least it was a decent hand)

Ace on the flop. Duh.

I had a lot of fun, once again. Now that I'm well-rolled, I'll give my try at .25/.50 NL again, but will stick with 1/2 Hold 'Em for now, maybe move up to 2/4. But I wanna try some .25/.50 first.

pikachucards = My New Hero

Why the odd Title for this post?

Because PikachuCards from the CP Forums (SN on FT: PikachuCards23, on Stars: PikachuCard) has shown me the light... No not that Stacy Keibler is the Hottest Chick on the Planet (I knew that already, but Carrie Underwood still should've made the tournament field...)

Anyway, back to Poker. He introduced me to 6-Handed 1/2 Limit Hold 'Em. Usually, when I play Limit, it's Omaha 8 or HORSE... I occasionally dip into regular Hold 'Em, but usually at 9-handed. Ever Since I started playing these 1/2 6-Handed games, I have been destroying them. Tonight, in 3 hours at one table, about 250 hands, I left the table up $125. And in the last hour, I had dropped $50!

Won 216 T$ recently in the $8.80 Satellite to FTOPS Event #1. Spent all of that up in SNG's and MTT's, but with the Last of it, I won another $216 T$ in the $75 Satellite to FTOPS Event #20.

Here's Hoping to a nice Goin' Deep post on CP tomorrow, when I plan to play the 32K Guarantee, the Daily Doubles, and a few satellites, while playing 1/2 6-Max Limit Hold 'Em as well!

Run Goot @ Bowling and CP Tourneys

The Title basically says it all... I'll elaborate a little.

On Monday, March 31, 2008, I finally bowled my first career 300 game, at the age of 22 Years, 7 Months and 8 Days. Having Been a Serious Bowler since the age of 12, this is a very proud accomplishment for myself. The Final Series was 714 (237-300-177), which was also a personal high. My Bowling Average this year is currently at an even 200. The highest my year-end average has ever been is 194, so I will most likely eclipse that as well.

OK, Bowling Brag over. On to the Poker.

First, Nik announces that 67s is having a private tournament on Stars on Wednesday. Well, I have been broke as of late, but I deposited 25 bucks into Stars to have a little fun in this $5.50 tournament... BTW, only 1 67s'r showed up, and 8 CP'ers. After countless limit jokes aimed at Nik and Deuce High, the 3 of us get to 3 handed, and I eliminate Nik in 3rd after my J-J holds up against his A-J PrF. Rigged Obv.

However, Deuce outplayed me heads up, and took it down. But I had fun, which is what I look for in CP tournaments.

The Next Day, Luske runs an 8-man, All-CP tournament. I start off by running good and having K-K and Loretta pull off an ill-timed bluff with his two overcards. Up and Down all tournament, I lay a major beat on Luske when my A-9 sucks out on his K-Q on an A-K-Q board with a 9 on the turn (which I called for). Heads Up was against KingPrussia, and another Suckout FTW. PrF A-4 vs J-J, and the board ran A-4-7-A-2.

Shipped.

Playing Again on Stars right now in the DonkTakular 50FPP $1000 Limit Freeroll. <3 These Players <3

Hopefully a Post will be made after I (hopefully) take this down. Also might play the 20K Guarantee on Stars tonight as well.
