FTOPS Event #1: $216 NLH

This Tournament Drew 5,319 Players. The Largest Field Ever for a Full Tilt Tournament. The First Tournament with a Buy-in Less than $322 to draw a $1,000,000 Prize Pool. First Prize is $183,000.

First Table, I Draw Thayer Rasmussen (Thay3r). He's an Internet Pro who's made a FT on the WPT. He Played Very Tight early on.

I did not. 7th Hand, I had A-K of Spades in the SB. The CU Raised to 60 (Blinds are 10/20, Effective Stacks are 2800). I Re-Raised to 160. He Called.

Flop: 2s - 3d - Jc.

I Bet 160. He Calls

Turn: 5s. Great Card, IMO.

I Bet 240
He Raises 340 More to 580.
With the Nut Flush Draw, GS Straight Draw and Two Overcards (I Put him on a Pair Between 6-6 and 10-10 here). I Call.

River: Qs (Yahtzee!)

I feel that he thinks I have A-K or A-10, and put him on a Bluff. I could've Bet around 600 (We Each had around 1600 Left) and hoped for a Call or Shove. But, He seems to be Donkish, so I let him do the betting for me. I Checked, hoping for a Bet so I can Shove.

He Shoves.

:-D

I Insta-Call, and he turns over a complete and total Bluff, K-8 of Hearts.

More From This Tournament Later.
