NYRPS Event #6: Pot Limit Omaha Hi-Lo

5th in the Mookie

I Finally made a Mookie Final Table. For Me, The Mookie is the Big One when it comes to Blogger Tournaments, and it was the only one I had yet to FT. I had a sizable Chip Lead once the Final Table came together, and when the Final Table came through, I busted Fuel in 9th place with KK.

The Top 6 got paid, and I tried going Aggro in 7-handed play. Epic Fail, I almost busted myself. I Took the Chip Lead back during 6-handed play, but donked it all back, most of it to NumbBono, the eventual winner.

I haven't been running too well in MTTs, whenever I get a big stack, I either bleed it all away, or donk it all to a Bigger Stack with a Weak Ace. I need to re-evaluate my Late MTT Strategy. I gotta watch Lucko more often. (BTW, Lucko won the $50 1 Rebuy 1 AddOn AGAIN last night).


Hopefully This Weekend I'll hit a Big Score.

NYRPS Event #5 Results

Congrats to Loretta8 (Featured Blog on the Right) for taking down Event #5. He lost his Fold Button and Potted every hand Preflop (Only a Slight Exaggeration). Fred and lightning take the other 2 money spots. I had my worst finish of the series yet, 11th. Then again, this is only the 2nd tournament to go over 10 players. 17 peeps, nice turnout guys!

This is one of my favorite Formats, Plus it looks like the first level is 10/20 instead of 15/30, so we get an extra level!

MSOP Event #35

Took Home 9th Place, which sucks because of it's Very Flat Payout structure that gets huge at the Final Table of 8.

It was 7 Stud this time, a game I don't have a lot of experience in, but I knew the basics. Got a big stack early when I had quads by 4th street and KO'd 2 shorties. I sucked out while All-In THREE times (!), and finally on the last hand I made a stand with A-Q-3 against villain's 7 upcard... He had rolled 7s (obv). Even Aces Up couldn't overcome that, and I was the Final Table Bubble Boy.

My second deep run in the MSOP, and my best finish so far, I'm still searching for that Final Table. Maybe Next Time.

MSOP Event #8

Took 18th for $346.50.

I had a Nice Chip Lead due to Lucky Hands during the Limit Sections, And It seemed I could do no wrong during Limit. No Limit killed me though. The Play wasn't amazing, but it wasn't donkey either. I only ran into 2 known players, Ma77Th3Gr3at (FTOPS Champ) and All In at 420 (Matt Stout). I busted Ma77Th3Gr3at after he put a sick beat on me earlier (He had 2-pair vs my nut straight and Turned a Boat), but Matt Stout knew me from previous tournaments and respected my game, so he didn't really give me problems.

Overall, I'm happy with my performance. What killed me late was running into Aces with A-10, then I got crippled in a battle of short stacks where A-J hit a J on the turn to outrace my 5-5. At that point I had 2.5 BBs in Limit with 19 to go. I was able to fade another bust out and make an extra $99 in the 19-18 Payjump :).

Saturday's Tournaments

Played a bunch of them. 16K, 75K, 32K, Daily Doubles, 20K on Stars and $3 Rebuy on Stars.

Cashed in 2 of 'em. 16K and Daily Double A. Daily Double A ended on a horrid note, as an Overbettor shoved for ~100BBs with AK, and he had me barely covered, and I called with my QQ... K on the Riv obv.

16K i was lucky to even cash. Near the Bubble with 5BBs, a 3-way limped pot see an all-diamond Q-10-4 flop. With 10-7o in the SB, i decide to hope that my hand is best. BB turns over 5-2 of diamonds... but the turn and river are both 4s (lololol) and I survive, and go semi-deep, finishing 40th or so.

Tonight, lack of poker due to my Sister's Dance Recital. For June, I'm going to play .25/.50 PLO more, as many PLO players are horrid, and I look to take advantage of that. When I get home, I might play the Blogger Big Game, and I'll probably enter one MTT, depending on when I get home (Daily Doubles, Fifty-Fifty or 28K are the likely suspects.)

Last Night of Bowling is Tomorrow. I need to shoot a 638 to finish at a 200 Average. Book the 637 IMO.
